Castle Gardens

We were approached by our clients to redesign their 1,400 sq/ft house, to be more specific the main focus was on living/dining room area. The layout has been already defined and we didn't have an option for a house extension, so the main focus of the project was on the interior design and it's functionality.
The stairs from the entrance hall on the ground floor lead to the bright and spacious contemporary minimalist kitchen connected to the living room.
Right from the beginning we have faced a problem with the existing kitchen layout - it just simply didn't work. We have managed to fix that by rearranging the kitchen setup, adding warm colours, natural materials and minimalist contemporary elements. The mix of the both is now serving as a place for quiet times with family and friends.
Smooth and functional transition from the entrance to the living room area was achieved by designing a wooden rails separation that also serves as a coat hanger, yet allows the light to pass through.
In the process of filling out the design brief or clients told us that they like to receive guests from time to time, therefore having large table with comfortable chairs is a must, as well as to have enough room to sit everybody around the table. JQ33 Design has managed not only fulfill their wishes but to make the kitchen area bright, spacious, and to add warmth and coziness. Several tones of pastel beige and off-white were used to decorate this room along with the dry flowers in custom ceramic vases.
