Inquiries and proposals

Website information is general and does not create a designer-client relationship. A project begins only when both parties accept a written proposal or agreement that states the scope, deliverables, schedule, fees, payment terms, and required deposit. That signed document controls if it conflicts with these website terms.

Client inputs and approvals

Clients are responsible for accurate measurements, existing-condition information, budgets, timely decisions, access, and approvals unless the project agreement says otherwise. Product samples and final specifications should be reviewed before purchase or construction because screens, photography, and illustrative visuals cannot guarantee exact colour, texture, or site conditions.

Permits, consultants, and construction

Interior design direction is not architectural, engineering, legal, or contractor work. Permits, stamped drawings, code review, engineering, hazardous-material assessment, contractor means and methods, and site safety remain with the appropriately qualified parties unless expressly included in writing.

Changes, delays, and cancellation

Work outside the agreed scope requires written approval and may change fees or timing. Schedules depend on prompt client feedback and third-party availability. Cancellation, rescheduling, non-refundable work, and payment obligations are governed by the signed project agreement.

Intellectual property and portfolio use

JQ33 DESIGN retains ownership of its methods, working files, and design authorship except for rights expressly granted in the project agreement. Client use is limited to the agreed project and paid deliverables. We publish client work only with the permission described in the applicable agreement; self-initiated concept studies on this website are labelled as illustrative and are not completed client work.

Warranties and liability

We perform services with reasonable professional care but do not guarantee approvals, contractor pricing, procurement dates, business outcomes, or the performance of third-party products and services. Any warranties, liability limits, indemnities, and dispute process are those in the signed project agreement and applicable law.
